haha.. So we missed yesterday, kidlet was crankenfied and then today he was all sick- so.. stuff got all side tracked. I’m posting tonights super late because I was finishing up the finale of the countdown– my new kit Birthday Monsters!   The best birthday present I got was for my 40th when my husband took me to Niagara Falls - my birthday is July 1 which is also Canada Day…so I got to watch fireworks over Niagara Falls on my actual birthday.

I think it was prolly the fireworks that did him in LOL.. he just adores them. He said it was really sweet and even said aw (though he was unaffected by all the engagement rings and babies.. he is still a boy LOL).. surprisngly, he also DOES know what Niagra falls is– I may have to take him there one day just because

Not Christmas.. ^_^ Around here, the big countdown in december is to my kiddo’s birthday! If you received my newsletter last night you know that I mentioned Connor and I were busy planning away some fun stuff for the blog this week. This time of year is always tough on me- Connor didn’t have a super warm and fuzzy entry into the world and ordinarily, I stare at the wall for these next two weeks and get wicked grumpy and totally miss out on all the holiday cheer. This year we (well I.. he doesn’t really get a say in my moods LOL) decided that enough was enough! We’re going to find a way to make the Countdown to SIX super fun! So for the rest of the week be sure to check back here and see what Connor and I have planned out.. there may be freebies, or coupons, or contests who knows! December 19th marks the end of the countdown, where we celebrate his 6th year in this world.. The following week.. on christmas day, we celebrate the day he came home from the hospital! Christmas is extra special around here.. even if I am Miss Grinch leading up to it :]

So.. to mark day 1 here.. connor asked that I draw some birthday doodles.. and that I did :] These will be available free for a limited time ONLY so be sure to grab em up! Hi La La Landers….can you believe it’s August!?!?! Around these parts that means SCHOOL TIME!!! Yep my sweet girls start back to school in 15 days and let me tell you although they have been a HUGE help to this pregnant momma all summer long I am so ready for them to get back to hitting the books!!! *lol*

Hi folks! La here! :] IT’s GOOOOOOOD to be back. I am so blessed to have friends like miss Dani Mogstad.. She and her hubby came to the rescue after all my server BS (lol to put it really lightly) and we’re now nice and cozy hanging out on a new server- without all that crap to deal with.

There’s this like major crazy storm happening outside.. It doesn’t actually appear to be raining (who knows, I have the curtains closed LOL I am going off of the report from my 5 yr old) but the thunder and lightening is quite impressive.. I loove storms :] Some of my fonder memories growing up were of sitting out on the porch swing watching huge storm systems blow through.. It apparently didn’t take much to amaze me  back then.

Anyway.. Why do I always babble about nothing? :p I said freebie right :p So.. Yes. Who out there Likes my Layered up in you stuff? :] As you saw last week.. I also added page templates into the mix of LUIY products. I’ve never been a big templater (is that a word? ) but recently got t he chance to try them out when I made the inspired by LO’s for June’s totm. I kept trying to add doodles to every template so I decided that I should prolly make my own set.. and add lots of fun doodley layers and shapes etc. I actually have trouble NOT doodling all over my layouts when I scrap.. I’ve tried to cut back (haha like eating too many cookies) but it’s a major struggle.. Anyway…… (again with the babbling) .. Making templates with loads of doodles seems to be helping curb my need to scribble on things :p Be sure to check out the set I released last week LUIY page templates 1 here... and while you’re here, as a thank you for being awesome.. and reading our lil team bloggie .. and all those other wonderful things (haha)..
